Spencer’s journey toward a career in physical therapy started way back in high school as he navigated through his own rehab experiences. He saw good and bad sides of the profession which continues to motivate him to give his patients the best rehab experience possible. Spencer also uses his personal rehab experiences to put himself in your shoes.
He loves working with folks who enjoy living an active lifestyle. Traditional sports athletes, weightlifters, runners, climbers - you name it! He is passionate about his own hobbies and understands how important it is to create a plan that keeps you in the game or gets you back as soon as possible. He also loves working with folks who aren’t as active, because it’s incredibly rewarding to help those people gain the confidence and desire to start more active habits. Spencer will meet you where you are at in terms of your fitness level and always focus on your own goals, but he’ll be the first to push you when appropriate.
Spencer completed his undergraduate studies at Baldwin Wallace University while also playing baseball. He then earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Ohio State, and also a personal training background. Outside of the clinic, Spencer enjoys exploring Columbus with his wife and their two dalmatians, fishing, and hanging out with friends and family. He considers himself a bit of a backyard games connoisseur.
